Frankie has invited Walleye Pro John Hoyer to do a seminar on How to Get Your Limit of Walleyes This Opener.
John fishes on national a walleye tour. He lived in Canada for 10 years. His dad is a Lutheran pastor. He went to high school in Litchfield. He fished the little lakes in high school. When he was 23 purchased a Ranger 618 tiller boat. He took out a loan to buy the boat. It was around $300/month. He started guiding for musky to help pay for the boat. He was a union carpenter. Then purchased an $80,000 boat. He got a new loan of $600 per month. This started his transition to being a Pro. To be successful you need a nice boat. He has been on the tour for the past six years.
Almost everyone has a job while on the tour. Most are guides. John works hard non-stop. He can’t help it. It is just the way he is wired. John says that if you are such a good worker employers will help you schedule around tournaments because they want the quality work and the work ethic.
John started in the Pro’s in 2017 as a co-angler. He won co-angler of the year because he knew what he was doing. He won his first tournament in 2018. In 2019 where he won four major tournaments.
